First Week of Retirement: A New Chapter Begins

Friday, April 25, 2025, marked my first full week of retirement — and what an incredible feeling it is! No more time clocks. No more supervisors. Just me, my creativity, and a world of new adventures ahead.

Clearing the Craft Studio: Preparing for New Projects

Instead of diving straight into sewing, I spent most of the week tidying and organizing my craft studio. It's a work in progress, but each cleared space is opening up new possibilities for the creative projects I’m excited to begin this week.

A Small but Mighty Project: Coin Purses from Fabric Scraps

Even with the cleaning frenzy, I did manage to complete a small project: hand-sewing snaps onto my bestselling little coin purses. These adorable purses, made from leftover fabric scraps, continue to be a customer favorite at my local artisan market — proof that even the tiniest projects have big value!
