My First Fabric Estate Sale: A Crafter’s Saturday Adventure

My First Fabric Estate Sale: A Crafter’s Saturday Adventure

The Flyer That Caught My Eye

Have you ever been to a fabric estate sale? Well, this was my very first one! A week earlier, I visited a local quilt shop, and they had a flyer posted for an upcoming estate sale happening the following Saturday. You know I wasn’t going to miss that!

Early Start and a Packed Parking Lot

I gave myself plenty of time to get there early. When I arrived, cars were lined up on both sides of the road as far as the eye could see — but lucky me, I managed to find a parking spot!

Welcome In and Number 73

As I entered the building, I was greeted with a warm smile and asked if I was here for the estate sale. “Yes!” I replied, and I was handed a number: 73. My eyes widened as the lady at the door called out number 43. I thought to myself, "I’ll be here forever!"

Browsing While Waiting

I took the opportunity to walk around and check out everything in the store, especially the sale section. There was so much to see, and it helped pass the time while I waited for my number to be called.

Finally — Fabric Finds!

After a short wait, my number was called — yay! I was so glad I stayed. The fabric was packaged in one-yard increments, and each bag was only $5. I mean, let’s be honest… a crafter can never have too much fabric.

A Dollar Tree Detour

Now tell me — have you noticed Dollar Tree is no longer just $1? It's now $1.25… and somehow, I still end up spending $30 every time I go. What’s that all about? 😂

Spring Blooms and Crafty Joy

As for what’s next, I’m dreaming about spring and planning a visit to Home Depot to pick out some new flowers. Some of my blooms are already starting to peek through — time to get back in the yard and enjoy it all.
